5 principles of Purpose by dr. Myles Munroe that will help you be successful in life

Have you ever wondered about your purpose? If you are among the lucky few, you have figured it out by now. You didn’t leave your life for the unknown, unplanned. Rather you take actions. Dr. Myles dedicated his life to teaching people to discover their purpose and “die empty.”

He says many people die without discovering their true purpose, without doing anything of value with it. ‘The richest place in the world is not the mines of South Africa’, he says, ‘it is, in fact, the cemetery. Because, it is a place filled with the dead who left with untapped dreams, unwritten books, and unfinished beginnings. ‘

Here, I share five powerful principles of finding your purpose.

1-Time is too short. The best way to waste time is by not knowing the purpose.

It is logical that if you walk without purpose in this short life, you will end up nobody. It is fair to say one should discover its unique purpose and be entwined with it.

purpose dr myles munroe2- What matters is why. Why am I here?

The purpose is the original intent for the creation of a thing, that is in the mind of the creator of the thing. Nothing in life is without purpose.

“God does not think without a purpose”

3-Not every purpose is known.

Where purpose is not known abuse is inevitable. Even medical drugs have the addictive drug in them, enough to make you addict if abnormally used. Have no child, if you don’t know the purpose. Don’t buy a car, if you don’t have a purpose for it.

4-If you want to know the purpose of the thing, never ask the thing.

People ask other people to discover the purpose of their life. And Myles says it is wrong. The purpose is only found in the mind of the creator of the thing.  People assume to know how to use the equipment by only knowing the basics. Instead, the manual of the equipment gives the purpose and warnings and procedures of how to use the equipment and warranties. That is the reason why most shoppers don’t read manuals, they assume. This also limits the use of the equipment. He says most people know not more than three keys on how to use many pieces of equipment. Taking the equipment to an unauthorized dealer for a fix, you could get a temporary fix but permanent more damage later. The bible is the manual. And he says one should know the bible to understand the full purpose of the self.

5-Purpose is the key to fulfillment.

Fulfillment is measured by the individual against the purpose they had when they were born. If you know your purpose and walk with it then you will probably end your age with fulfillment.

time management techniques

Time management techniques that surely make your successful

Time management techniques

Techniques are a bone of an action. These make decisions and progress tracking easier. Time management techniques are also necessary to make same decisions and follow progress easily.

Here are five-time management techniques with a huge impact on one’s successful use of time.

1-Cutting off communication for a while

Many entrepreneurs and rich people tell the advantage of social media in business. They also tell the benefit of shutting of your mobile phone and your internet for an hour or more while you are working on important tasks.

It’s time to switch off your mobile and set yourself free

4 Reasons To Turn Off Your Phone

Cutting off yourself from the world for a small one hour seems too much to carry and seems unimportant. However, many studies out there suggest the benefit.

Whenever you have an important meeting or work, try shutting off your phone. Even just before going to bed. There is no right task here. It all depends on what is right and what fits you. I would not advise you to shut your phone when you are people person at your job. Your job is to communicate. Without that, try doing that. For example, time management techniques like cutting off communication works when you are on a date, important meetings, family time, reading time, sleeping time.

time management techniques: give break for yourself for few hours.

2-Goals

Goals are overrated. People don’t identify goals from visions. Goals are achievable while visions are fantasy. Being healthy could be a vision but running 10 miles, a week is a goal. The later one is more of measurable. Without the notion of setting specific goals, your efforts are not important. Time management by itself is not achievable without further smaller tasks.  Instead of thinking to save time on a given day, learn to schedule time and make task for each hour. Your goals could be “write 5 pages before lunch, have 3 short meetings with different up to 3:30, a 30 minute for each and respond to email for 30 minutes…”

This makes accountability possible. You will know where you are good and where you lack. Time management techniques by setting goals help you achieve a lot in short time and also celebrates efficiency

3-Be accountable

Accountability is another ambiguous word. You can be accountable for you own judgement. But may lack a lot in other’s eyes. Accountability and vulnerability go together. When you are accountable for any process you are allowing yourself to critics and judgement. That could help you achieve better in your time management effort.

You can be accountable to yourself. But that usually won’t work since it is easy to cheat yourself out of the task. Instead, time management techniques of accountability say advise to tell your loved ones to criticise you on your goals. Your wife or husband could see your progress based on what you promised them at the beginning of the day. Be accountable in front of others, your boss, your partners. Let them not find you playing video games when you should be finishing your paper.

Time management techniques: accountability and vulnerability infront of loved ones

4-promise

Many people won’t keep promises. This is a prime example of less self-respect. People with high integrity keep promises. Their words are reflection of their reputations. They keep legacy based on these principles. When you promise your son to be at his foot ball match, that is your word you can’t cancel. Cancelling important issues for the sake of work is usually not important. most things can be finished later.

But what if you can finish whatever you have now, so that you can freely and peacefully join your sons football match? That is possible. Time management techniques of promise work by being reminded of important events that you promised to and finish what every is doing on time, now. This includes vows on your wedding day. Family deserves to meet you on time. Children should see you on dinner and before bed. Learn your responsibilities and be on time.

time management techniques: keep your promise

5-Be leader of the ship

When people think you have the time, they will treat you as one. You should be able to tell people when it is time to stop gossip and go to work. I remember times that I had to meet 15 people in a day. I used to waste time with gossips and unrelated conversations and waiting time. When i noticed that I was losing a lot by not controlling how I waste my time, I was furious. I was no longer part of time wasting, gossiping or waiting for late people. I become the first to say dismiss meetings.

Control your time. Don’t let no one dictate your power. you can stop even your lover or children from wasting your time. Be in control. Give undivided attention to people that deserve that. And the time other than that, be furious and serious.

Time management techniques: take responsibility. This is your life

When you decide to have a goal, and be accountable to it, you become successful. Learn to be a leader of your short time and keep your promise to be where ever you should be. Cutting few hours from information and focusing on your job makes you successful. time management techniques

Makes you successful when you learn to use then when and where.

what do I want to do with my life_image

what do I want to do with my life? figuring out what to do with your life

what do I want to do with my life? figuring out what to do with your life is not that hard. Your are probably here to figure out what to do with your life. you could be confused. there are many people like that who keeps asking what do i wan to do with my life? This happens at every age, not only at young age. Sometimes you become what you want to be and all is set and you have no more to do. or you have even never tried yet.

what do I want to do with my life_imagesometime life becomes too demanding and overwhelming for many. That is alright. There is a lot going on in the world. It is normal to feel lost and to ask what do I want to do with my life, especially if you don’t have a proper coach or guide.

Here i will show you three main ways to answer the question “what do I want to do with my life?” and i will help in the process of figuring out what to do with your life.

What if some magic or miracle happens and someone asks you “what have you done with your life?” Stop reading and think 3 things you have done with your life. If you can count three and if you believe these things are aligned with your purpose and if you are happy, then you are on to something.Read no more.

But if you are like most people , you are stuck on the first list. You even don’t believe what you did was useful. “I got your degree but so what?; My pretty face doesn’t do nothing for me…” This is what many people i meet say to  me.

Most say “I want to be someone great, known , a celebrity.” But they don’t know how and doing what.  The problem is most people out there want to be something but they can’t say what it is. They want to marry but they can’t say what type person. They say they have a plan but they have done nothing the last few years.

The world is full of people who does not know what they need. They only hope tomorrow and curse today.

The first short cut to becoming do something fast is to think in details. To figure out to what niche to stick to. There is a small book that talks about changing life by changing the general perception of life.(i don’t remember the title, it has been more than a decade since I read it) In one of the chapters the author talks about a story of  a woman he met on his workshop. She told him she wanted to be an author for all of her life but she could not start.

Then he noticed the problem and he continued asking, “what kind of author?”

She paused. “What do you mean?”

“What type? Comedy, children, horror, romantic story…”

It was all of a sudden clear for her. the answer was all in front of her all her life. what she had to do was to think smaller.  And one simple question gave her few books with in a year time.

I believe that one has to think in little details. Details matter much in life since the world is going for specialisation. Specialisation is efficient way of solving a challenge, no matter how it confines one in to a corner. One can become laser focused into being one thing and strive to be good in it.  Many known authors specialise in one genre. Musicians also do that.

Instead of being an author, think what kind of author you want to be. If you want to become entrepreneur then what type. Online, offline, what do you want to sell.

This leads you to the second step. Here you need to identify your strength. If you can’t sit long hours, don’t try to be a programmer. If you can’t speak don’t be journalist, although possible. It is similar to believing your DNA. (term borrowed from Gary vaynerchuk)What you are good at since birth. if you can write, then learn what to be in relation to the first step.

Read an article on Entrepreneurial DNA. Do you have it?

Third, just list as much as you can things that you can do in the three columns. Ask your self  “what do I want to do with my life?”

Things I enjoy and cant get enough as a hobby Things i have learn Things I already know
1-Fashion 1-Fixing my car 1-I have degree in     economics
2- 2-real estate

After than come back after few hours and revisit your list. Cancel out these you really cant do now . This could be due to time constraint or resource, money or even passion. Then come up with three on the top. Next is to go back to the first tip, that is to go in details. Instead of saying i want to write about fashion, say i write about a specific brand or specific out fit. Do that for one year. And improve along the way.

what do i want to do with my life is a common question among many. I gave you the three short cuts to figure out what to do with your life. What you have to do what you have chosen after reading this article without hesitation. Then your will be fine.

Finding your purpose _image

Finding your purpose : A short guide on finding your purpose for success

Finding your purpose is a tough task. Finding your purpose is a life time job. There is no ultimate answer for what your purpose is. Because the idea of purpose grows with age and a maturity. Finding your purpose is indeed a person responsibility. People usually wait for eternal involvement for finding their purpose. We might have encountered people who are lost and pass their days on a couch, thinking what their purpose before birth is.

Others struggle through paying thousands to attend consultation, consulting astrology and other similar sciences for finding their purpose.

Finding your purpose _imageIs it you who should find your purpose?

We have talked how purpose of life could be seen from personal or general perspective. Some have assigned personal purpose from state perspective others from religion and other from mystical and philosophical.

But when it comes to an average person whose resources are limited to a bound point, finding a purpose from all this point is irrational.

Life is indeed to be appreciated. It is good to do good. At the same time, every person should find their purpose in this vast world. Only this was one can become a useful part of the society.

How: finding your purpose.

To find your purpose,  follow three major criteria. As I said before purpose is something you want to live for. For some, it is service, or others is it is creative field. For others, it is entrepreneurial arena.

1-Stick to your DNA.

Gary Venyrchuck in his book talks about DNA. DNA in his understanding is a person’s strength. For some physical is easier than mental. For tall people playing basketball is easier that the average height people. Some are shy and they need to communicate through text. Others are obsessed with self so they like to be the spot light. If you believe your instinct and stick to what your DNA says to you, then you can start with that.

Check Gary’s best selling book on how to cash in on your passion.

2-What you know and what you do.

A practising doctor has thousands of times better chance of living with same job as a purpose than an average person. What you know is what you learnt in school or at home or anywhere else. What you do can be your skills and hobbies. If you’re good at fixing things this could be your purpose.

3-what makes you happy.

What is that one things that you won’t see your watch to stop. What is that one thing that ticks you and takes you all night without being tired. If you have one you are lucky, you should stick to that, even as part timer.

Finding your purpose what to do next.

Finding your purpose this way needs to list the things that you have unique things under the points discussed above. After that you need to reorganise these in to their relations. For example, you might be good at sewing cloths. But if you curse your fate while doing that, then that might not be you. Move on. In everything you do, happiness should be the centre.

Three tips for finding your purpose faster

When one becomes mature, its obsession with death begins. A man/woman is known with their fair attitude in life that is life is not fair and that is OK. And I shall do something about it. That is, it. Whatever you want to do, if you don’t do it as fast, you are not that useful. So, don’t overthink do it.

If you agree with this here are three pointers that are useful for finding your purpose.

1-Don’t over think.

Your life is not better than others until you become useful. A useful person has many lives as they live for others, above themselves. Overthinking is a way of the mind to escape reality. Doing is better than thinking. Testing in doing should be the method. If you find one big vision in life test if for some months and find out. if you don’t like it move on to the next. That is why we said finding purpose is a life time job.

2-Have a time off. Mind wobbles.

Thoughts are not reliable. They are managed according to the environment you are in. When you are happy with what you do, you want to do it for life until you are not happy with it once again. Instead of relying on your wobbling mind in the chaos world, find a peaceful time, away from the work and life. Take a week or 3 weeks’ time off and think deep on what you want.

3-write it.

As I said the mind wobbles. Finding your purpose is big. You should see it in fractions. You should divide it in to days and hour. What you have thought every hour could be useful. Start writing, if you don’t until now. You don’t know what you are missing. Read it once a week and reflect on it.

4-Ask others of what you are good on.

We human are good in criticizing others but not ourselves. We tend to run away from self-examinations. People tell you when you do bad but they don’t tell you what good you have. That is part of the critical culture. To know that you have then you shall ask.

Finding your purpose in life begins with finding what you are good an , what you can do and what makes you happy.

Working on yourself _ grand self

Working on yourself : 10 step process to change your life in 6 month

Many people don’t like how they look. Others don’t like their current status in life. They don’t like where they live, where they spent their time. They only dream tomorrow to be better and live life without purpose only wake up one day and see that nothing has changed.

Many people compensate their non-satisfaction in life with compulsive behaviour, eating like a pig, acting crazy, heavily drinking and shopping.

What it takes in life to change is to decide, to pull out and bury what has died and go on in life. Working on your self is necessary.

I will show you the steps on working on yourself for the next 6 months to one year to change your life for the better.

  1. Imagine your role models. What good they have that you wish to have. Car, money… yes write them down.
  2. What do you wished to have for long. Bigger body, taller height, fair skin, better job.
  3. Now see how you can achieve them. Things like taller height seems to be impossible once you passed certain age. SO, don’t waste time on finding solution. Of course some things are possible like having better skin.
  4. After categorizing them, choose top five things that you should achieve within the next 6 months. It could be like, learn French, get muscle, get new job, have a date and renovate my room. Be as specific as possible to make sure they are attainable.
  5. In this stage, get real. Don’t only say get muscle, research and write like gain 30 pounds in 6 months. Then follow a certain training. Don’t just write I want to get a job. write I will look for 10 offices and call 30 offices every day and ask for job.
  6. Here change the already made organisation of life you have. Change your bed; how your cloth and change where you stay. Even change your friends if you feel they are dragging you back.
  7. Hire someone to make you do what you have to do. Persona trainer, business trainer, body trainer. Or go out yourself and grind. Look for people with similar desire, register on the internet forums or communities. Participate.
  8. Change does not happen in a day. So, follow your schedule. Never listen to your wobbling mind. It is trying to help you save energy by telling you to quit. No need to listen. Avoid its little mummers and go on to that gym you started. Don’t even waste a second. Just do it.  Don’t listen to others when encouraging you quit. People usually tend to do that. Follow your dram that you had when you leave home.
  9. Have a journal. Journal helps you notice ups and downs. It helps you stay true to yourself.
  10. After 6 months look back and rewrite what was good, what went wrong. Ask if you achieved your goals. You have written a lot with in the last six months. Write your summary of the six months. Organize then and reread them.

You can publish them, share them with the world on the internet. You can share them with people you know. And for the rest of the days go on second part of your life. Continue doing what you have done for the rest of your life.

Changing life is not easy. However; working on your self is necessary. It is must to change your life when you think you don’t need them anymore. Instead of sitting and thinking and daydreaming, act today, follow these steps and achieve your greatness.

life goals _ grand self

Life goals: how goals help you achieve your purpose

life goals _ grand self‘’What is the difference between a goal and a vision?’’ The college teacher snapped on the class. ‘’How didn’t you know the difference?’’, he continued exaggerating, with his widely opened eyes and a grim on his face.

‘’What is the difference?’’ We murmured for ourselves, lost in the event.

Here is the difference.

Vision is the dream, the day dream, the ultimate destiny. And it is vast and abstract. Then you need something much more detail than a vision to achieve that vision. You need a goal or set of goals. Goals are down to earth, practical and achievable. For example, to be first in technology is vast. One can ask, what technology, who is the judge, in what competition, in what cost? And more.

Goals are written as ‘’sell 100,000 pieces of the app in one year and even more detailed to months and days.’’ How and who is doing what.

Then life is the same. Whether you think God gave you the purpose or you made it yourself, the term ‘’Purpose of life’’ is vast. Whatever purpose you have it is wide and vast enough that you day dream in it. Achieving what is vast and abstract is then remotely impossible.

For this you need goals with schedules that you can follow up and measure your performance in it.

In this post, I will show you how to set a goal and how to achieve it and measure your progress in it, based on my recent experience.

Look everywhere, life is full of visions and purposes. But without goals these are just images.  A student’s purpose of joining college to graduate, get job. Goals do not fanaticize. A student’s goal could be study two hours a day, finish your homework before 8. This is tangible.

Four months ago, I had a breakthrough in life. I break a bit long relationship with girlfriend. My life was in a mess, at least in my mind. I had a brain fatigue that I was dizzy working in office. My eyes were swollen for months but I could not be decisive enough to see a doctor.

Probably the time before that were one of the most challenging in my life. I have always known I could be the best I could be. I have always dreamt of being on top. Inventing something. Owning something.  My fantasy was all over the place. The first day I noticed that fantasy and their strange challenge, I sat there on my bed and thought and thought. How could life continue in day dream? What am I waiting for?

And after a long authoring my life in short of 10 pages, a new idea was born.

I need goals. I need five major goals that could change my life in six months.

“Make sure you set SMART goals. They should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Timed” – Peter Turla

For the sake of education, here at the six goals

Change my mind through daily affirmations. Affirmations are assured to work. Listening them or saying one for myself in the morning and evening is much better than listening to music. I set schedule to say my affirmations on 6 in the morning and 12 in mid night for 30 minutes.

Go to Gym four times a week

I registered to join the gym next door.  I decided to gain 7-10 kilos more gradually with in five months.

Read the bible twice a day, morning and evening.

I grew up as a Christian. And most of my decisions were made in reflection from the bible. And I felt that reconnecting to that book would make me reconnect with my roots where I was raised with.

Start a site that help other realize their purpose and goals. For this, I started writing each day minimum of 1000 words. I shall write at 8 in the evening for about 30 or more minutes.

This were few of the goals.

I set. Even though each listed above seems to be big to achieve, goals are attached with them. For example, in the last one, I would say I write from 7-8 o’clock, about 1000-1500 words. This is achievable.

Then you need schedule. Goals need schedules. You can’t say I write 1000 words. You have to set aside a time that you will accountable for.

I got to gym after lunch between 2-3. I stay for an hour. I preferred this hour for two reasons, for there are only few other lifters, as the time is work hour and I am free at that time. I also go to the gym on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Friday.

For this I prepare a table. Or I categorize weekly schedule of set of exercises I follow. I put journals each day on my feelings of the day, my weight and more. The passion, and the urge to know my progress pushes me faster.

One more thing you should have is a finite time. Don’t think goals as something to rush through. Most young have the energy and they set unrealistic goals. Be true to yourself. Life is a progress. Don’t say, I want to get buffed up in a week. Set some time, for example, that is realistic to gain weigh would be 4-6months, even to lose weight would be around that unless you work out for hours and hours each day.
Don’t rush, this is not Hollywood. Set a six-month plan. And make sure the goals should be strong and the make a difference.

Write by the end of the six months, ‘’I lost 30 pounds. For this I got gym for four days a week. I lift 30 dumbbells or I run for 30 minutes. For this, I only buy vegetables (list them) and eat at 8,11,2,4, and 7.’’

‘’I want to get fluent in Japanese language. For this I practice an hour a day. I will talk with Mr. Yogi to teach me once a week. I watch 3 Japanese movies on Friday, Sunday and Tuesdays. ‘’

Finally, remember that purpose is vast. Vison is unachievable. They are designed to be that way. You need goals and schedules to get to your vision. By setting realistic goals according to your visions and by following the up with a schedule, you will achieve your dreams.
